Description of Physical Characteristics:

Color: Kremmling chert is similar to chalcedony with a opaque base of white and translucent hues ranging from light yellow, light gray or light brown.  Slight mottling or banding might be present.  Black dendritic inclusions may be present.

Texture: 
Fine grain with a smooth texture

Luster: Glossy

Translucency: Opaque to translucent
